A returning resident Lloyd Sheriff is plagued by a thug who begs him money and then tries to break into his house regularly. He has paid $3000/mth to a security company to keep him safe. When he hits the panic button they call first to ensure it's a genuine emergency and the ringing of the phone alerts the guy. Who's scamming who here? What's funnier, the irony of the sheriff calling for back-up or back-up alerting the thief thus maintaining a steady income?
Police superintendent Terrence Bent (Clarendon jurisdiction) has credited bus loaders for organising the orderly loading of buses in May Pen. The mayor wants them to form an association so he can charge then a small operating fee. Bus loaders make $300/bus. They may put you on the wrong bus, but they do it in an organised manner.
Taxi operators must pay $500/day to local dons to operate at the major depots. Buses (NGO- not government owned) pay $1000/wk. Then they pay the bus loaders (who heckle the passengers, probably loading them on one bus and luggage on another), then there are the legal fees to the Gov't. Maintainance cost due to wear and tear on the vehicles... If only they were more courteous on the road they'd have the sympathy of the ppl. Till that day...FYAH!!!!!
Mr. Heffes (PSOJ member) condemns extortion.... His family's decision to post Zekes bail last year (using his wife's 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser) was purely humanitarian.
Paraphrased: Dear Claudienne, I bought a 'no name' fan from a woman out of a van back on the road. When I got home it never work. I threw it away and now they won't gimme back mi money.
Dear CLOWN, In disposing of the evidence they couldn't exchange it for a better one. Better one because the Bureau of standards ruled the brand you bought as wutless and stopped them from importing any more. Is anyone surprised at this? And you know, the person probably thinks they have been wronged.
Brian Lara on scoring his 30th test century: "I love the Jamaican atmosphere and always relish the opportunity to play here.......... It's just unfortunate that crowds at the venues across the Caribbean are not as large as in the past. But I'm looking forward to a big crowd tomorrow and hope that the team will be able to put on a show." I wonder why the crowds have died down where the WI play? Is it because ...... they don't actually PLAY cricket! Crowds? Dream on turkey!! Show?? SHOW!!! I paid $100 to park to attend the Scotiabank autoshow. I pay $420 to watch a 'flim' show at Carib/Sovereign. I pay $600-800 to watch 'one' show at a playhouse. I pay $1500/mth to watch plenty show on cable. The smurfs on ice is a show. Keiran in foreign studying how to put on im owna show dem. CRICKET IS NOT A SHOW YOU MORON!!! IT IS LIFE!!!!
I am living in the friggin Twilight Zone.

Two things...
1. Mr. Heffe is just a good man. Leave him be! Nobody wants to see a man stuck in jail when bail can be paid! They were probably old buddies from high school :-)
2. YES, I'm a Lara fan, but care not I. I'm thinking you were a little harsh on the 'moron' comment. Would you have been more satisfied if he had said 'a good showing (of themselves)'? Cause I'm sure that's all he meant. In any case, day 2 was a great 'show'!
HARSH! HARSH! dont get me started.
Still I have to commend the West Indies for the good 'showing' they are putting on now, all i ask for is consistency in winning (IE stop loosing 90% of the time). Is that too much to ask?
Mark, I think you jumped the gun with that comment, we're losing again! Then again, despite the poor showing of the batsmen the 2nd time around, I attribute the impending defeat to the dropped catch by Courtney Browne when Inzamam was on 0. He went on to make a century.
