Men vs. Women

This discusion began in Brinkster and based on an article in today's Outlook magazine I feel compelled to once again pick up the baton.

Women have:
1. Keener vision
2. Better sense of smell
3. Sharper hearing
4. Stronger immune system
5. Hormones that provide resistance to heart disease during child bearing years
6. Recover faster from strokes because of the quicker transfer of brain function
from one hemisphere to another
7. Highly intuitive (men are asked not to waste time trying to fool them)

Women who are right-brained process information globally, seeing the whole before recognising the parts. Resulting in stronger powers of intuition makes her able to arrive at a conclusion spontaneously, even while a man is still processing in a logical step-by-step way.

Now I have no idea who did that research. It could be women or sissy men....Awwww who am I kidding! It's quite obvious. Which is why it pains me when women blind themselves to abuse in their lives or sit there with pimps and playas.

Anyway, now that I have made their case for being superior once again (my training having been complete) I feel the urge to go purchase tampons and maxi pads with wings and four walled protection for someone.

interesting that you have this post above those pictures below, showing the thing that pains me most about some women - e.g. an already incredibly talented singer feeling the need to use her body to help sell her voice... hmmm, and then we have the nerve to complain when men only see us as objects for sex.

I was raised by my mother. Summers I went to the states to stay wih my aunts and g/m. My uncles stayed away to avoid the 'brood'. I had no sisters so I knew nothing of girls, just women and strong women at that. The crying thing still gets me because the women in my family cry in private.

That said, I am one of those not directly brought up to believe in the superiority of women, but thats what I saw around me everyday. The examples set by the men in the family was poor compared to the women. Seeing the data makes me a believer w/o question.

Rae,

She is the 2nd woman to be recognised for song-writing talent and 1st african-american woman to be so awarded. She has made millions, and although she sounds a little 'daft' (it's the accent) she has great business sense. Yes she is going for the thuggy man (I got 99 probs but a b*tch ain't one) but she has seen his off-stage persona and I haven't.

She is still a young woman (24yrs) who is finding herself personally and likes the badge of sexy. However I don't think she is relying on that to sell her music. Somehow I don't think she is satisfied with being talented and accomplished. I think she also wants to revel in the sexiness; validating that side of herself that requires (at least in her mind) external affirmation.

Hayden, I can safely say that's an urge I've never felt in my lifetime!

Anyway, wrt Beyonce, I think it's very much like the talk we've been having about music these days, and Mark and Diallo made the point that the music serves it's purpose. In the same way, Beyonce doesn't need to flaunt herself because she truly is a talent, but she and her people know that the public buys into the sex appeal, and if it can get her that much more dough, then so be it. What do I think? Well, that's for another time and day.

P.S.: There was a 5.0 earthquake centred about 7 miles south of where I am right now. Happened a couple hours ago. Frightened the hell outta me!!!

Like Adrian says, sex appeal sells. Even though she is talented as hell, she needs to do that to be successful. Look at Jessica Simpson, Joss Stone, Le-Anne Rhymes. Three of the best voices in the business, they all sound a whole lot better than Beyonce or Britney Spears. None use their bodies. How many records are they selling??

w.r.t the post: Hayden, I, like you was not raised to view any sex superior than the other, but definitely see where women take the lead in many things -church, family etc, most times because somebody has to do it. I acutally wish I would see more men in these roles - more role models for the young boys in these situations to follow.

The debate as to why Men in today's society have faild to take up their resposibilities is never ending and full of speculations. The solution to the problem illudes me, however I must say that whether not men see induviduals such as Beyonce as purely sex objects is not the point, Society in general is focussed on the pursuit of pleasure and personal gratification, in the words of someone I know, "Its a time of 'Self'". The thing is the more things change the more they stay the same, if you look throughout history, this continues to happen over and over a period of while abandon to be followed by a period of strict unrealistic ristrictions, such is the nature of the society we live in.
