It wasn't luck
but I'll bet, that's what many thought
about how we met.
It was not luck
that you were willing to wait
because I wasn't ready yet.
There was no luck
just intention, when I did what I did
to win your affection.
Were you 'out of luck'
when my equally selfish words and deeds
sought to destroy our romantic situation?
I want to blame luck
for her part, when I left
and broke your heart.
Nor can I credit luck
when I COULD- NOT- LET- GO
and Ctrl+Alt+Del led to a restart.
You'd have me pay luck
I guess, with her self serving prowess
for getting me out of my mess.
But luck
was at rest, when I secretly flew 6000 miles
to you, my love to confess....Canterbury no less.
[Poor insignificant luck
although so vain, to accept accolades
but divest herself of blame,
that, that ..... Prayer-hating luck
impotent with our success
unworthy of our shame.]
Can you testify luck
of the glue, you provided
to see us through?
Don't worry luck
for the past seven years
your brother fate was fooled too.
I pity you luck
stressed, because we realised
that all this time we were blessed.
barren luck
We are children of God
by now you should have guessed.
So speak not of luck
my mate, my wife to be
let's set the date.
and luck......
there's no such thing
let's get that straight!
