To bore you with the mundane

Today was paper 2. I thought they had said that it was 2hrs long and 60 case studies over 100 questions. Basically you have to do 25 in 15 min to finish on time. I try to stay ahead of that to leave time to check over. I started and quickly fell behind in time. At 15 min I was at 22/23. I doubled my speed and at the 1hr mark I was at 56. Then I saw.......END OF PAPER... I freaked out! "I'm missing pages" was my first thought and I looked through trying to find the missing pages and questions. Then I rechecked the instructions and saw that they had clearly stated "THIS EXAM CONSISTS OF 60 QUESTIONS".

Feeling rather daft I completed the other 6 questions went back through and corrected 2 questions and left my exam with 40 min to spare. Reminiscent of the first degree days when my aim was to complete the exam, stare into space for 5 min and leave before the 15 min mark (you can't leave before the 1st 15 min and within the last 15 min).

All in all, not a bad paper at all. It had its challenges and as always Medicine MCQs leave you wondering what on earth you studied for. God be praised, another one down.
