U included Van Helsing in that list. tsk tsk Hayden. It was a good movie to watch on cable, and maybe a good movie to have a movie lyme with, but It was lackinging creativity from the point of veiw of the Director . Cool Grafics and imagry, great story line, but the Director just decided not to bother to tell the story, and just made a dull action movie out of it. I was disapointed, It had the makings of a great movie but he botched it. You need to see the Japanimie version, and then you will see true story telling.

I am assuming that we are all talking about recent movies, but to mention somthing from the time of Terminator and to leave out the Eternal Classics that defined the Action genre is sacreligous. You all know these movies I speak of, the movies that made Bruce Willis an all time hero, yes ladies and Gentlemen I speak of Die Hard 1 2 & 3. Let us not make such a mistake again, and repent of our transgressions.

The most interesting thing about your list I found was the domination of suspense/adventure. :-) I have to admit I only just watched Underworld and Van Helsing yesterday for the first time. Thumbs up to both tho I had to adjust seriously to the vampires being good guys in Underworld. :-)

I don't know if I would say that the vampires were the good guys in "Underworld"...Viktor killed his own daughter and spurred on a war between the two species which he led everyone to believe was the Lycans' doing.
There was something weirdly comforting about humans being at the bottom of the food chain such that we didn't seem to matter that much to either group.
No real victims...just vapires agains werewolves.

I forgive your irreverence for “Die Hard” simply because you included the master Piece of all masterpieces. The show that put poetry and elegance to total and complete violence. But then it is from the director who defines totally and completely the artistry that is action. As put most eloquently by a fan; “At his best, director John Woo turns action movies into ballets of blood and bullets”
