A song of perseverance

Once upon a time as the story goes
there lived far away in the Highlands
A big brawny Scot
who spent quite a lot
of his time with a famous spider

His army had been defeated
in battles 2 and 3
and so he'd fled to make a bed
in a cavern beside the sea

Well here dwelt a spider
dangling from a silken thread
dangling there in the air without a sign of life revealing
for the spider was only hiding
an attempt to reach its hiding

When after a time he started to climb
till he nearly reached the ceiling
wheeeeen down came the spider
nearly to the ground

Then he started to climb
bit by bit
will he make it?
Yes he will, no he won't....... x 3
He's done it!!!
